When the pandemic started my anxiety was ripping me apart. I began searching for ways to make my photography more meditative, almost like zentangles are to those who draw. As I began manipulating my photographs, I found the process of duplicating, rotating, and cropping my photos extremely therapeutic. I began not worrying so much about the rules of photographic composition and focused more on the process and less on the product. As I worked, I found some days my photographs seemed more pointed and dark, while others seemed light and airy. But most often they began reflecting my current moods. They became an easy coping mechanism for me to detach from the worry around me and the pain of so many caused by this uncertain time. |

about meMy name is Libby and I am a mom, art teacher, and artist. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. My Husband, Jason and I returned here to raise our family. I have a bachelor’s in Art Education and a Master’s in Art. Like all teachers, I have dedicated my life to helping my students and captivating their creativity. When not rocking my tunes in my art room, I am at home chasing my 3 kids around with my husband while trying to live each moment to the fullest.
